$3.31 million for new research

MNDRIA has awarded $3.31 million in grants to support 28 research projects that commenced in 2018. Congratulations to all of the successful researchers and thank you for your continued hard work into understanding and combating MND. These grants are only made possible thanks to the generosity of donors, bequestors and the State MND Associations who fund this research.

Launch of the $25 Million: 25 Milestones Report

Since the awarding of the first, modest grant in 1987, MNDRIA has invested more than $25 million to fund Australia’s most comprehensive MND research program spanning a range of research, from discovery to healthcare. To recognise this achievement and the generosity of the many Australians who funded this research, Federal Assistant Minister for Health, the Hon. Dr David Gillespie MP, launched the $25 Million, 25 Milestones: Changing the future of MND report at the 13th MND Australia Research Conference in November 2017.

The 13th MND Australia Research Conference was launched by The Hon. Dr David Gillespie MP, Federal Assistant Minister for Health on 10 November 2017. The Conference showcased major research achievements funded by the MNDRIA coinciding with the $25 Million, 25 Milestones:Changing the future of MND report, a roadmap for the future and research outcomes from MNDRIA-sponsored projects . 3rd MND Connect

3rd MND Connect, November 2017

MND Connect gives people impacted by MND the opportunity to connect with healthcare professionals and researchers to reach better outcomes for the MND community. The 3rd MND Connect was held at the University of Sydney on 11 November 2017.
