Social and Emotional Wellbeing

Talking Grief

This new program offers clients and carers opportunities to talk about their feelings and gently explore ways to help build resilience and adjust to the significant impacts a diagnosis of MND may impose, now or in the future. Trained talking grief volunteers offer support opportunities to clients, carers, and their support networks, by way of face-to-face one-to-one and group conversations, as well as by telephone and video calls to ensure families living outside of metro Adelaide are able to access this support.

Your MND Support Coordinator can organise an introduction to the program or contact the Talking Grief Project Manager by emailing [email protected] or calling at 8234 8448.

Life Stories

Legacy writing – also known as biography or life story writing – is a way of documenting your life story, in your own words. It is, by its nature, a deeply personal and spiritual process and a powerful way to connect generations by documenting and leaving behind a rich legacy to family history for those you have loved and their children to come.

To find out more about MNDSA’s Life Stories program talk to your MNDSA Client Services team member or call 8234 8448.
