Patron
and Ambassadors

MNDSA is fortunate to have distinguished supporters that are generous in lending their time and energy in support of the Association’s mission. Their dedication and passion for helping others is admirable and we are forever grateful for their contribution and support.

Patron: Rosa Matto

`Rosa Matto’ Patron

Well known local identity Rosa Matto is MNDSA’s much-loved Patron.

Describing herself as a teacher first and chef second Rosa’s career spans three long, eventful decades. Her great love of people drives her enthusiasm and support for raising much needed awareness of MND and encouraging support for the Association.

Rosa has served on many boards, is an accomplished MC, travel blogger and guide, writer, teacher, broadcaster and presenter, keynote speaker and chef. Rosa says she is proud to support an organisation that supports people who live with a disease for which, at the moment, there is no cure.

We are extremely grateful to have Rosa as Patron of MNDSA and appreciate enormously her efforts to ensure that until there is a cure, there will always be care.

Ambassadors

MNDSA enjoys the support of respected and high-profile South Australians who are motivated by the impact of motor neurone disease in their own lives, to help others.  They support our activities by raising awareness in the community and media, engaging in community events, championing our cause in our campaigns, and participating in fundraising. They are truly valued and speak on our behalf to encourage an ongoing conversation about motor neurone disease.

Andrew (Cosi) Costello South Aussie with Cossie

In August 2022 we approached well-known and loved SA media personality, Andrew (Cosi) Costello from Channel 7’s South Aussie with Cosi program seeking his support to help raise awareness of MNDSA’s inaugural fundraising trek into the spectacular Flinders Ranges and drive adventurers to participate on the adventure of a lifetime and at the same time raise much-needed funds to support South Australian’s living with the illness. It seemed like a very natural fit given his tireless involvement and experience showcasing South Australia’s wonderful tourism highlights. With his support 10 trekkers participated in the inaugural trek into the wilderness of the iconic ‘Ikara” Flinders Ranges and together they have raised over $100,000. “Thank you Cosi , your support is our encouragement.”

Brad Ebert & Hey Diddle Wines

Brad is no stranger to MND. Having lost his Grandma to MND some years ago, he has supported various fundraising events in the past and was quick to take his support one step further when we approached him to help us drive awareness of the inaugural fundraising trek into the mighty Flinders Ranges. Working with the team at Hey Diddle Wines, $5 from every bottle sold from the 2021 vintage of Pino Gris (known affectionately as the ‘Pinot Gris for MND’) he encourages MNDSA supporters to not only enjoy this beautiful year-round wine but also share Hey Diddle Wines offer amongst their networks knowing that part proceeds will benefit MNDSA.
